The City of Sioux City, Iowa and LA County Sanitation District conducted long term ANITA™ Mox pilot studies, respectively, to gain first hand operating experience and evaluate performance of the technology. In this presentation, the two utilities will share their experiences with ANITA™ Mox, a biofilm based deammonification technology that presents benefits such as ease of anammox bacteria retention and resistance of toxic substances and/or shock loading etc. We will also explore the more than two dozen full scale installations that prove the system to be simple, stable and robust.
