In a world where 19% of total water abstraction is used for industrial purposes, Danone initiated its Zero Water Project in 2021, with a commitment to protect water-stressed environments and reduce its carbon footprint.
We are proud to support Danone in implementing its circular plans. A prime example is its specialized nutrition plant in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, where it embarked on a mission to capture and reuse rainwater.
The solution involves rainwater collection and a treatment system featuring one of our ultrafiltration technologies UFLEX™. This system ensured self-sufficiency by harvesting enough fresh rainwater annually to meet the plant's needs, from production to staff facilities and cleaning.
