Introduction
Secure, sustainable, and soft drinking water for Waldwasser in Moos, East Bavaria, has been achieved through an innovative water softening technology, Carix™, which not only provides the municipality with high-quality soft drinking water but also contributes significantly to environmental and economic sustainability.
In line with Germany's Climate Action Plan 2050, this modern waterworks project has become a model of ecological transformation. The technology not only lowers energy costs but also relieves the atmosphere of 630 tons of CO2 annually, the equivalent of 6.6 million kilometers of car emissions.
The project's eco-friendly approach and notable energy savings have garnered support from the German Ministry of Environment, setting new standards in ecology, economy and drinking water quality.
