This week climate change negotiations have started at COP26. In line with this, our team shares what has been done so far to cut greenhouse gas emissions in water management and what is to be done next to fight global warming.
The 2021 UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, also known as COP26, is the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference. It is being held in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, between October 31 and November 12.
The overarching goal of the COP26 summit is to put the world on a path to aggressively cut greenhouse gas emissions and slow down the devastating effects of global warming.
A key part of this is to accelerate action and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) which were agreed to and signed six years ago at COP21 by 195 world leaders.
