Introduction
In the midst of their remarkable journey rooted in South Korean history, a local beer manufacturer faced the challenge of expanding their wastewater treatment plant while adhering to stringent environmental regulations outlined in the Republic of Korea's constitution.
Faced with the need to balance growth and sustainability, they adopted a solution — a moving bed biological reactor (MBBR) within a modular container, known as the MBBR PackTM from our subsidiary AnoxKaldnesⓇ. This approach allowed them to address their wastewater treatment needs, protecting local water resources and biodiversity while enabling their business to flourish.
As a testament to its success, a second MBBR Pack was installed in 2021 to accommodate their increasing capacity requirements, symbolizing a leap towards success for the Korean brewer as they harmonize industrial growth with environmental protection.
