What is Precoat Filtration? This type of technology utilizes filter aid to remove suspended solids down to 0.5 to 1-micron. Indeed, precoat filters have been used in many chemical processing applications, beer, wine, sugar, gelatin, sweeteners, and edible oil production. They are also widely used in the mining industry to polish cyanide leached solution used to recover precious metals in the Merrill-Crowe process.
