In essence, **Terion S is a water purification process that removes contaminants from feed water.** During the process, water molecules are pushed through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure, which helps filter out impurities to leave clean, safe, high-purity deionized water with continuous electrodeionization. Terion S utilizes these reverse osmosis membranes to **remove over 99.5% of dissolved solids and salts, such as calcium bicarbonate and sodium chloride, from brackish and wastewater sources** for industrial application usage such as boiler feed water treatment and/or [laboratory](/en/applications/laboratory-water "Laboratory water"). **Terion S is designed to produce deionized water up to 18 megaohms per centimetres (MΩ-cm) with flow rates ranging from 110 to 4,000 liters per hour (L/h).** Terion S is suitable for transportation as it is in a single skid, self-contained, unit including all instrumentation and control panels. It is available in seven models that all meet European regulations for laboratory and microelectronics applications as well as general industry.
