Veolia Water Technologies at IDEX 2015 Mobile Water Treatment in all Climatic Zones BERKEFELD® M6

14 january 2015
Celle, Germany - January 13, 2014 - At this year's International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, Veolia Water Technologies presents the new BERKEFELD® M series for the first time in the Arabian region (hall 10, booth A09). The concept for mobile water treatment is developed explicitly for military purposes and stands out due to its robustness and flexibility.

Meeting the challenges in the field - that was the requirement of Veolia Water Technologies for developing BERKEFELD® M, a water treatment plant which is able to convert most raw waters into potable water. BERKEFELD M6 includes various treatment technologies, which are combined depending of the raw water conditions on site. These include: a pre-treatment, inline flocculation, pre-filtration, ultrafiltration by a ceramic CeraMem® membrane, reverse osmosis, UV and disinfection. At the same time the robustness of the technology allows a transport via helicopter, truck or as a containerized version. The CeraMem membrane as centerpiece of the plant is easy to maintain, its material characteristic induces an extremely long lifespan. Entire engineering and assembly including testing have been done at a production site in Celle, Germany.

BERKEFELD M-series meets current military standards and can also be deployed in extreme climate zones (A1, B2 and C2 according to STANAG 4370/AECTP-230). The system follows the open concept approach which allows easy integration either into existing base supply concepts and/or logistic management systems.
