The various technologies used for research, development and quality control of products within the pharmaceutical environment must follow strict standards and be subjected to means of confrontation to guarantee: method performance, reliability of results, data traceability, user management (levels access), among others. Pharmacopoeias (USP, EU, Brazilian) are guides to guide the management of laboratories to mitigate risks and provide greater security in the use and manipulation of data.  
   
The pharmaceutical industry requires high levels of assistance when it comes to limiting environmental impacts. The production of medicines requires significant amounts of water, in all cases.
