Veolia Showcases Advanced Wastewater Biological Treatment Reactors at Bevtec Asia 2015

6 may 2015
Effective Wastewater Solutions for the Brewery & Beverage Industry
At Bevtec Asia 2015, Veolia will feature two advanced wastewater management solutions for brewery and beverage manufacturers, namely, the Biobed® Advanced reactor and the AnoxKaldnes™ Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR).
  • Biobed® Advanced is a patented anaerobic wastewater reactor that offers a small footprint, high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal efficiency, and stability in maintaining and producing anaerobic granular sludge. The reactor is an ideal wastewater treatment system as it requires minimal operator involvement, increases process efficiency, and improves manufacturers’ operational performances.
  • AnoxKaldnes™ Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is a biological solution that implements Veolia’s proprietary biofilm principle. Compact, user-friendly, and characterized with a relatively small footprint, the AnoxKaldnes MBBR is able to achieve between 60 - 70% of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) removal, and to handle extremely high loading conditions without any clogging issues. Demonstrations of the MBBR technology will be held at Veolia’s stand C10 throughout the duration of the show.
Raul Ramos, Global Accounts Manager, Food & Beverage, Veolia Water Technologies, shares, “The brewery and beverage market in South East Asia is expanding rapidly, and it is becoming critical that manufacturers consider pre-and-post-production water handling processes very carefully. Veolia has developed dedicated water solutions that can be tailored for specific industry manufacturers, and we have gained praises for our advanced technologies.”
Reaching Out at Bevtec
Aside from exhibiting at Bevtec Asia, Veolia will also be participating in other show activities to connect with trade visitors.

Bevtec Asia 2015 Conference
Additionally, Veolia is taking part in the Bevtec Asia 2015 Conference. Amongst other speakers, the technical forum will see Veolia experts sharing their insights on two topics; Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment for the Brewery & Beverage Industry, led by Michel Otten, Technical Director for Biothane Technology in Asia, Veolia Water Technologies, and True Cost of Water, led by Michael Poonpipat.
Open to all trade visitors at Bevtec Asia, the Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment for the Brewery & Beverage Industry session will take place on 8 May 2015 (Friday) from 1.30pm – 2pm, followed by the True Cost of Water session from 4pm – 4.30pm.
Kai Uwe-Richter, Regional Market Manager, Food & Beverage, Design & Build Projects, South East Asia Industrial, concludes, “Water is of course a critical raw material for the brewery and beverage industry, and there is much potential for manufacturers in this industry to not just maximize the economic value of water but also to mitigate their water and wastewater management challenges.”
To learn more about Veolia’s water technologies, visit Veolia at Booth C10, at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from today through Friday (8 May).
