Our partnership with [food and beverage](/en/core-markets/food-beverage "Food and Beverage ") industry giant, Danone, aimed at revolutionizing natural resource management to combat environmental challenges. In a world where 19% of total water abstraction is used for industrial purposes, Danone initiated its Zero Water Project in 2021, with a commitment to protect water-stressed environments and reduce its carbon footprint.

We are proud to support Danone in implementing its circular plans. A prime example is its specialized nutrition plant in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, where it embarked on a mission to capture and [reuse](/en/applications/reuse "Water reuse") rainwater.

The solution involves rainwater collection and a treatment system featuring one of our ultrafiltration technologies [UFLEX™](UFLEX™). This system ensured self-sufficiency by harvesting enough fresh rainwater annually to meet the plant's needs, from production to staff facilities and cleaning.
