At the Water Arabia 2015 Conference & Exhibition, Veolia showcases several technologies in line with Kingdom’s plan to increase water reuse rates

The Water Arabia 2015 Conference & Exhibition, organized by the Saudi Arabian Water Environment Association in cooperation with the Water Environment Association, is one of the leading activities in the region that is specialized in the water sector. Veolia Water Technologies participated as one of the Gold sponsors of the event and presented a number of innovative solutions for treating water and reusing it, including the Actiflo®
process which features a very high capability of treating and purifying water and wastewater.
The conference acts as a vital platform that gathers local and international experts to discuss challenges and available opportunities along with the most prevailing trends in the sector. This year’s conference was convened in the Le Meridian hotel in Al Khobar city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 17 to 19 of February. It was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah Al Husayn under the theme: “Innovative & Reliable Water and Wastewater Technologies for Sustainable Water Quality”.
Saudi Arabia plans to raise water reuse rates to levels exceeding 65% by 2020 and to more than 90% by 2040 by transforming the treatment of wastewater premises to a leading source of water in all sectors. The Kingdom appropriated 66 billion dollars in a long term investment toward the water treatment premises development projects for the next ten years.
