Developing water treatment technologies for the Downstream Oil and Gas industry
Veolia Water Technologies is dedicated to providing water treatment solutions for the specific challenges of water and wastewater treatment in the downstream oil and gas industry. With several decades of experience and over 500 references in this market, our worldwide team supports developments for both upstream (onshore and offshore) and downstream clients.
Reusing and recycling water from effluent treatment in downstream oil and gas operations helps with regulatory compliance, protects the environment while minimizing the need for freshwater for makeup demand.
Veolia Water Technologies offers a variety of water treatment technologies and technical expertise to develop processes to maximize reuse of water.

The DUG Permian Basin Water Forum will deliver insights on best practices and new technologies in drilling and completion of shale wells.
Raw Water Treatment
A secure, safe and reliable water supply including seawater desalination, raw water pretreatment, process water production, utility water and demineralized water.
Downstream processes generate wastewater that must be treated prior to discharge or reuse.Pollutants must be removed to ensure full compliance and appropriate quality. These pollutants are mostly oils and hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, phenols, COD, BOD, mercury, selenium, cyanides and chlorides.
Macro Porous Polymer Extraction (MPPE) removes dissolved and dispersed hydrocarbons from water with efficiencies of 99.9999% by means of extraction in an MPP bed. This technology is a highly effective, fully automated, remote controlled and guaranteed method.
