ENEA Wytwarzanie SA is the leader of the power generating sector in the ENEA Capital Group. It is also one of the largest commercial hard coal-fired generators in the Polish electricity market. Kozienic Power Plant is the second largest power plant in Poland.

 

The Client's Needs


Veolia Water Technologies Poland has been contracted to supply the Actiflo system for Kozienice Power Plant located in Swierze Dolne, Poland.

The contract is part of a large-scale investment for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant for ENEA Wytwarzanie SA, and is carried out by Veolia for the General Contractor – Inzynieria Rzeszów SA.

Veolia is responsible for the design and supply of the equipment within the range of Actiflo ballasted clarification system, start-up of the plant and personnel training. 

 

Project & Technology Solutions


The new high-performance wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) treats industrial wastewater and stormwater coming from the new 1075 MW coal-fired power unit with supercritical parameters as well as two existing 500 MW and eight 200 MW power units at Kozienice Power Plant.

The proposed solution is based on three lines of clarifiers. The plant has a design capacity of 4050 m3 per hour, including three lines using Actiflo® with a capacity of 1350 m3 per hour each.
