Iloilo City, Philippines – PANAY ENERGY Development Corporation (PEDC) is a subsidiary of Global Business Power Corporation (GBP), one of the largest power producers in the Visayas area, Philippines.​
One (1) unit of IPP with respective capacity of 520 ton/hr Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) × 150MW Steam Turbine Generator (STG) to offer stable electric power to PANAY island and Visayas grid.

 

The Client’s Needs

Veolia Water Technologies’ subsidiary in Taiwan has been awarded an industrial water treatment system by Formosa Heavy Industries Corporation (FHI) for the PEDC-3 power plant in Philippines.
The project includes:
  • Desalination system
  • Demineralization system
  • Condensate polisher system
  • Wastewater treatment system
  • 7 months Operations & Maintenance
     

Project & Technology Solutions

The water treatment system includes 6 main treatment sub-systems/units:
  1. Pre-treatment & Desalination system:
    • Actiflo®: 28 m3/hr x 2 trains
    • DMF (Multi Media Filter): 82.4 m3/hr x 3 trains
    • SWRO: 32.9 m3/hr x 2 trains
    • BWRO: 28 m3/hr x 2 trains
       
  2. Demineralisation System: 
    • DEMI MB: 21m3/hr x 2 trains
       
  3. Condensate Polisher System :
    • Anthracite Filter: 130m3/hr x 2 trains
    • Polishing MB: 130m3/hr x 2 trains
       
  4. Potable water System: 5 m3/d
  5. Regeneration Wastewater Treatment and Sludge Dewatering System (Flow rate: 30~40 m3/hr , Filter Press : 250 L/ cycle)  
  6. Chemical Dosing System :
    • NaOH; HCl; NaOCl; FeCl3; Polymer ; NaHSO3 and Anti-scalant
