The Client’s Needs

Veolia Water Techonologies’ subsidiary STI was awarded a 3- month SOS PURIFIED WATER contract for pure water production and supply (1,000 m³/d) to the new anti-legionella treatment facilities at the EDF power plant of Chinon.

Project & Technology Solutions

The contract covers the supply of:

  • One demineralisation unit
  • One reverse osmosis mobile water unit

On completion of the contract term (September to December 2005), EDF may ask Veolia Water Technologies STI to renew the rental contract for an additional term of 7 months, which would put Veolia in an ideal position to be selected for the construction of the permanent water treatment systems. The bid was won following a tough fight against fierce competition by GE who had been lobbying heavily.
